Howdy, everyone! I hope that you all are having an amazing day?!? With Easter well on the way, I thought it was high time I shared with you an amazing recipe that I came up with that is not only super colorful but easy to make for your family and friends. When I think of Easter, I think of beautiful baskets, colorful candy, sweets, and a sugar coma. This cookie has all that and more.

The best part about this recipe is that you don’t actually have to make the cookie, just some of the toppings. I used an Otis Spunkmeyer Chocolate Chip Super Cookie. Sure. This cookie is “slamming” on its own but with all the extra stuff makes this Super Cookie into the ultimate delight when it comes to sweets and craving your sweet tooth.

How good is this cookie by itself? Let’s just say that I have had to hide it deep in the corners of my office to keep from my husband. Yup. That stinking good. I almost felt that I needed to hide it from myself. Ugh!! What I like about using the Otis Spunkmeyer Super Cookie is because it comes in a convenient tray.

So let’s get to it, shall we? Firstly, run out and snatch up an Otis Spunkmeyer Chocolate Chip Super Cookie (you might want to get two because I bet you will eat one by itself). Next get the items below to make an easily whipped topping for the cookie.

How To Make The Whipped Topping For The Color Me Easter Cookie

  • Two tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, soft (not melted)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • One teaspoon vanilla

To make the topping you will want to whisk the milk and flour until smooth. Heat these till a boil and thick. Take your butter, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl and whip until a whipped cream consistency. It will take a good while for the mixture to begin to look like whipped cream…Don’t lose hope. Here is what it looks like as a finished product.

Yup. It is that easy!!

I separated the whipped topping into a couple of different plastic bowls and colored with food coloring. You can use any colors that you might like. Now you will want to start to pipe on your topping. Be creative or simple. I simply mixed the colors back and forth in straight lines. I then used a spoon to get a little tie dye effect gently. Make sure to put a bit of water on the spoon so that the frosting does not stick.

Lastly, add a couple of sweet treats to the mix. I included a couple of sprinkles. I also added a couple of Cadbury Mini Eggs to the mix as well because it is Easter after all :)

I do hope that you check out the Otis Spunkmeyer Super Cookie because these babies are too good not to try. They are perfect warmed up by themselves or creating something amazing with your family.
