My Opinion:

I will start this by saying that I am a damn good cook. I know this. It’s one thing I can count on about myself. Then this week happened. I don’t know what evil force was in my kitchen but NOTHING I did worked. I am one of those people who can look at a recipe, try it for the first time and have it come out perfectly. Don’t hate me. Until this week. Even things I have been making for years failed me; I had an ice cream base separate, a boiled icing collapsed, croissants did not poof and I couldn’t make marshmallows to save my life.

I have been making homemade marshmallows for years.
I even managed to break the whisk attachment for my KitchenAid.

Evil Force I’m telling. REALLY evil force.

That is why I don’t have a full recipe demonstration for you here. After trying twice and breaking the whisk I decided that WHATEVER had taken over my kitchen it did not want me making marshmallows. Plus it was getting expensive having to toss all that sugar and gelatin.

Soooo, I will refer you back to when I was magic in the kitchen and I made the Twinkie Bundt Cake.

Isn’t it beautiful?
See, I CAN bake!
And it used the Marshmallow Creme recipe from Marshmallow Madness. You can find the recipe on the Bundt Cake post HERE.

As to the cookbook – I LOVE it! For one thing, it’s puffy! How cute is that? It’s full of really fun marshmallow flavors that I am going to try once I get the Evil Force out of my kitchen. Any suggestions? I’m open to any suggestions….

Ms. Sever writes her cookbooks in easy to read and follow directions unless you have an Evil Force hovering about. Then you are screwed.
