Christmas tables with taste

Undoubtedly, Christmas is one of the times of the year fullest of celebrations, if not the most. On those special days, there is a common component in every home in the world: the Christmas table. And it is that food is an essential part of this festivity, but the Christmas menu would lose strength if its presentation was bland and inconspicuous. For this reason, in this article, we present some ideas to decorate your house during Christmas.

Table

An elegant table can never be an ornate table, since the decorations should not become an obstacle for the guests, isolating them with large decorative elements. The best way to distribute the space for the decorations and the food, as well as to distribute the diners in their places, is to use a rectangular table . As for the tablecloths, more and more people are advocating resorting to individual tablecloths in neutral colors.

Centerpieces

If you want to use flower centers , it is recommended that these be odorless or artificial, since they can alter the smell of the food that we are going to taste. Just as the rectangular tables were good for the distribution of the guests, they will also be good for locating the centerpieces, since they allow you to place more than one distributed along the surface.

The centers have to be of low height since otherwise, we can alter the visibility of our guests with respect to the person in front. Apart from the flower centers, we can use other types such as centers full of fruit, flower petals, stones or glass marbles, and other decorative elements that serve as the center, such as a dried and varnished tree trunk.

Chandeliers

Chandeliers are undoubtedly one of the most recurrent options in Christmas decoration. We can play at mixing colors with candles in shades of ivory and others in shades of red, or we can choose to use one or another shade, but without leaving that color palette.

As with flowers, candles should not give off any kind of aroma either, but will simply serve as a method of decoration and lighting. Normally, they are not usually lit and if they are, it will always be during dinners and just after the guests have sat down at the table.

Crockery and glassware

These two elements where the Christmas food and drink will rest directly must be as least overloaded as possible, that is, what never fails is the classic, and in this case we must resort to it almost forced. The point of originality must be added by other decorative components that we have mentioned previously.

The Red color

At the same time as all this, we must try to make red the color that dominates our table. But, on the other hand, we must not forget the natural intensity of this color, so we must be careful with the tones used to complement it, always ocher, ivory or white. It is about breaking the harmony with details in red , which will give a special meaning to the table that we are assembling. Another option is to use golden tones instead of red.

As we said, the menu is important, but there is no better way to thank the culinary work done than by serving it in a pleasant and well-decorated place.
