Ranch Smashed Potatoes
Ello, folks! I hope that you all are having a wonderful week? Today I wanted to share a simple side dish that my family LOVES. This is perfect for entertaining or just as a family meal. These Ranch Smashed Potatoes are amazingly easy to make and super good.
My husband is a meat and potatoes kinda guy and I love coming up with new ways to give him the potatoes that he loves. When I am not grilling potatoes on the grill in the summer the Ranch Smashed Potatoes are the way to go for an easy side dish.
How To Make Ranch Smashed Potatoes
What I love about this dish is that you really don’t need a ton of items to create it.

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds red potatoes, halved
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
- Parsley for garnish (optional)
The first thing that you will want to do is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare a baking sheet by greasing with nonstick cooking spray. I prefer to use PAM but you can use olive oil as well.
Bring a large pot of water to boil and boil the potatoes until tender, this will take about 10 minutes so not long at all. Using a fork or even a potato masher, mash each of the potatoes.

Next, you will spread the mixture over your smashed potatoes.
Bake potatoes for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and sprinkle cheese and chopped bacon over the top. Place potatoes back into the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
Allow your Ranch Smashed Potatoes too cool slightly before serving. You can always use a bit of parsley to garnish.
