Sweet Earth Awesome Grounds: Veggie Lasagna
Thank you Sweet Earth for sponsoring this posting :)
Ello, folks! I hope that you all are having a beautiful day? Today I wanted to share with you an amazing product from Sweet Earth, their Awesome Grounds. Since I don’t eat meat I was thrilled to have the chance to check out this product and I must say that it has far surpassed my expectations.
Sweet Earth Foods Awesome Grounds is a new raw plant-based protein! Launched this fall, you can find this product merchandised in the fresh meat section in select stores (see website for store list). When I say it tastes just like meat it really does! I have fallen in love with the Awesome Grounds.

What I really love is that my husband actually likes it. I have not had meat personally in years but of course still cook meat for him. So using the Awesome Grounds I only have to cook one meal and we both can chow down. Sweet Earth Awesome grounds are made with non-GMO plant-based ingredients like pea & wheat protein. Speaking of protein it offers 16 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber!!
The Sweet Earth Awesome Grounds are so easy to cook with and they make it super simple to switch out your normal meat for this amazing plant-based meat. You can still make everything that you love including tacos, meatballs, and so much more.
I wanted to share with you how I used the Awesome Grounds in a Vegetable Lasagna. I don’t eat noodles so I wanted to create something a bit different and it came out so tasty.
All I did was simply switch out the noodles for squash and zucchini. This still gave me the texture of a noodle and worked perfectly.
How To Make Awesome Grounds Veggie Lasagna
The first thing that I did was get everything together. This included two zucchinis and two yellow squashes, one sweet onion and a cup of mushrooms.
I first cooked the mushrooms and onions, till the onions had a beautiful glaze. Next, I took this mixture out of the pot and added the Awesome Grounds and cooked it as per the package.
I wanted to have a nice grilled taste to my squash and zucchini so I decided to cook it for just about 5 minutes to get a bit of color onto them.
One this was finished I simply started to create the dish in a small baking dish. I layered with the squash, then Awesome Grounds.
Next, I added a bit of mushroom and onion mix. I decided to add a bit of cheese as well. Next to the zucchini and keep layering.
I did a little bit of ricotta cheese as well.
Lastly, I baked in the oven for about 15 minutes until everything was good and bubbly.
I do hope that you try the new Sweet Earth Awesome Grounds. I know that I have fallen in love with the taste and is really a treat to have a good alternative for my husband when it comes to meat.
