I love peaches myself. They bring back a lot of childhood memories for me. The most cherished one is eating peaches with my Dad. We would eat them on the front porch of our farmhouse. We never ate them inside because they were so juicy. My Dad would always have us “skin” his peaches. He couldn’t handle eating the peel but he loved the fruit. My Dad died almost 40 years ago. I miss him a lot. Isn’t it funny how food can bring back such sweet memories?
In 1982, President Reagan declared August as National Peach Month. I’ll be trying to fit in several peach recipes to help you all celebrate this sweet fruit! Until then I hope you will check out my peach mango sugar scrub?
